I’ve been back home in Florida since very early Monday morning (I took a really gross redeye flight home… never again!) and my sleep schedule is still pretty fuuuuuuuuucked. The whole trip is almost a blur to me… I was in LA from Wednesday morning until Sunday night and it was nonstop almost the entire time. The actual movie making was crazy. Buckton freaked out a lot and almost ruined the movie, but he got his act together and I think the finished product is going to be amazing… as long as we can find the backups to the footage he burned! (seriously!) Seeing how a porno is made was a great learning experience and I was able to help out on set doing a ton of different things.  Nina Hartley and I had a nice long talk about being a a woman and a director in the industry and it was one of the highlights of my trip. I really feel honored that i was able to have such a great discussion with her.

The stuff we did at night after shooting makes more sense to me, even though i was drunk most of the time, so here we go…

Thursday night the POPPORN crew and I met up with Kimberly Kane (and i got to meet her lizard, too) and she took us out to eat dinner at Kitchen 24 and then grab drinks at this weird little punk bar named Tiny’s.

Friday night me, POPPORN, and Stevie Hart met up with Mr. Pat Myne/Danny Case/etc etc and his gorgeous wife Alektra Blue for mexican food and margaritas (more margaritas than food) and then we continued the party at a local bar where Pat got considerably more drunk and showed off his abs and pale ass to the entire bar. There are pictures of these events somewhere… i need to find them. After that Alektra and Pat went home and the rest of us headed over the The Echoplex for the On My Dirty Knees release party. It was sort of weird… lots of goths and drag queens but I ran into a few nice people, including an awesome dude who gave me a copy of Daniel Clowes’ “Ice Haven”.  After the party we went for drunken pancakes and KK hit me in the head with a coffee creamer but I totally deserved it.

Saturday was the final day of shooting… Ryan Keely came to the set to hang out and we cuddled A LOT. Here we all are right after the movie wrapped.

Saturday evening we went at PF Changs. Ryan Keely joined us. I spilled lemonade all over my lap. Double D was tired and had an early flight on Sunday so she went back to the hotel early and Bangs, Buckton and I went to a shitty little dive bar until KK arrived and took us to the most amazing bar ever…. a honky tonk in Chattsworth that had line dancers, a live band, friendly bartenders and free popcorn. We stayed until they turned off the lights and kicked us out.

Woke up late on Sunday and went to brunch in Calabasas. It was beautiful there but we heard it’s illegal to smoke cigarettes anywhere in the town. Lame! The rest of the day I sort of just relaxed at the hotel, packed, and went to the airport.

All in all it was a really fun trip. The weather was perfect, the people were super friendly, and I had a great time. Can’t wait to come back!
